What is metabolic coaching?
With metabolism we mean the processing and handling of energy (calories) and maintenance of an energy balance. Energy is regulated by the needs to sustain the basic metabolic rate (the running and repair of all organs, heat production, immune and hormone function), muscle fuelling for movement and exercise, and use or storage of surplus energy.
The brain also needs energy to function and process emotions.
Metabolic coaching offered by Dr Kos integrates health coaching with mental wellbeing, based on the understanding that we need adequate mental energy to realise our potential, and to be able to care for our physical wellbeing.
