SET ASHORE
Art Exhibition 31st October to 8th NOVEMBER 2026 Positive Light Projects, Sidwell Street, Exeter
A free exhibition which features a major body of work by Katarina Kos as main organiser, alongside fellow artists Sandra Goodenough and Clare Flinn.
The three artists approach the coastal theme from distinct, contrasting viewpoints, anchored by a substantial body of work from Katarina.
Drawing direct inspiration from her time on the water as an avid sea kayaker, Katarina captures the raw energy of high seas. Through her striking mixed-media acrylics, she directly confronts the warming of our oceans and the urgent impacts of climate change, posing a vital question to the audience: 'What are we as individuals doing about it?'
In parallel to these pressing global ecological issues, Sandra Goodenough and Clare Flinn offer a perspective focused on the direct friction at our immediate shoreline. At the heart of their artistic examination of coastal edges is a shared philosophy that captures the conflict between human presence and natural boundaries:
"Where land meets sea, where wildness and people live in uneasy harmony, where the power of tides and winds reign."
The artists will be painting live in the gallery during the exhibition, giving the local public a unique chance to watch their artwork evolve over the week.
Join the private viewing 3rd of November from 6pm. This is in partnership with the RNLI who will be present in the evening.
